NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
VILLAGE OF OLIVER, WISCONSIN VILLAGE FLOODPLAIN ZONING ORDINANCE

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a public hearing will be held by the Village of Oliver, Board of 
Trustees on Tuesday, August 25, 2026. at the Oliver Village Hall, 2125 E Street, Superior, WI 
54880. The hearing will begin at 6:00 pm to consider the following matter:

The Village of Oliver Board of Trustees proposes to rescind the existing Village of Oliver 
Floodplain Zoning Ordinance, Chapter 115; Village of Oliver Code, and to adopt a new Village of 
Oliver Code Chapter 116 entitled Floodplain Zoning Ordinance.

The proposed ordinance is required for Village of Oliver adoption by state law. The proposed 
regulations are intended to protect life, health, and property in floodplain areas and will govern 
uses permitted in mapped floodplains.

The proposed ordinance is available for viewing in the office of the Village Clerk during normal 
business hours, and may also be found on the village website at the following link:

All persons interested are invited to attend this hearing and be heard. Written comments may be
