Bear Wise
The local Conservation Warden, Megan Abrahamson, recently visited the community and asked residents to please refrain from feeding deer and bears.
There are currently a couple of nuisance bears in the area that the DNR is working to trap and relocate. Feeding wildlife can encourage bears to return to residential areas and become accustomed to people, creating potentially dangerous situations for both residents and wildlife.
We appreciate everyone doing their part!
