FALL CLEANUP
SATURDAY, OCTOBER 5, 2024
The Village will hold a Fall Cleanup at the Village Hall on Saturday, October 5, 2024, from 8:00 a.m. to noon. Proof of village residency will be required.
Scrap Metal Collection: A separate dumpster will be available again this year for scrap metal. Please ask if it is ok to go into the dumpster before putting it in.

The following items will have a fee:
Tires: $4.00 each tire – $5.00 tire and rim.
Appliances: $10.00 each.
Microwaves & Air Conditioners: $5.00 each.

After this date bring to: Balcum Appliance, 724 N. 8th St., 392-4808; Roll-Off, 1021 Garfield Ave., 394-4285; Recycle America, 1425 Oakes Ave., 394-2174.

Items not included in Fall Cleanup:
All items that go in the normal weekly pickup and recycling containers will not be accepted.
No demolition/construction materials, bring to DS Landfill – 392-1889 or AA Roll-Off – 394-4285.
No fluorescent bulbs – contact Douglas County Recycling @ 395-1293.
No asbestos containing materials.
No mattresses.
No corrugated cardboard or other recyclables.
No leaves or grass clippings.
No lumber, building or demolition materials, concrete, and shingles. These can be brought to the DS Demolition Landfill – 392-1889.
No liquids, motor oil, or batteries. For proper disposal contact Douglas County Recycling @ 395-1293.
Household hazardous waste can be taken to WLSSD – 722-0761.

**Volunteers: Your help is needed to clean up the village. Please come to the village hall on Saturday morning, and we will find a job for you!
